Cordovan Black: Rare cordovan is a by-product of horse buttocks (carved and polished cordovan layer) that is only available in small quantities in France, Spain, and Poland. It is tanned with vegetable tannins over a long period of time in Japan, and dyed with the time-consuming "aniline finish." It is a special material born from a relay of manufacturing that makes the most of this rare material, using an abundance of time and technology in the "tanning and dyeing" process.
